Part of an initiative I’ve started with myself is taking more time to learn. Not necessarily skills, per se but engaging in active critical thinking. Reading non-fiction is an outstanding way to really fire up those neural pathways once again and resurrect all that critical thinking we did in school.
I’m reading a few books right now, one of them being IDEO’s The Ten Faces of Innovation. And serendipitously while folding laundry last night, I stumbled upon such a thought provoking thing: TED + NPR.
The one I listened to last night was about food and our societal relationship with the food shift. This morning’s genre was ideas. Where do they come from? How do we innovate best?
I could tell you the answer, but what would be the fun in that?
